lam|prey «LAM pree», noun, plural -preys.
a marine and freshwater animal having a body like an eel with gill slits like a fish and no jaws but a large, round mouth. Lampreys are vertebrates found throughout the world and are parasitic, some attaching themselves to fishes with their mouths to suck the body fluids.
